The following public Reel is the test permalink for Jukestr's supported Instagram oEmbed validation workflow. It requires no Jukestr login.

Purpose

Why Jukestr uses oEmbed

Jukestr Watch helps people discover football video. Instagram oEmbed is used to validate eligible public Instagram permalinks and render supported platform content in its platform-provided form.

Jukestr does not use oEmbed to download, proxy, or rehost Instagram video.

Workflow

Instagram oEmbed flow

  1. Jukestr receives an Instagram Reel permalink considered for football discovery.
  2. The server sends that permalink through the supported Instagram oEmbed interface using server-held authorization. App credentials are never placed in this page or exposed to the browser.
  3. Jukestr checks for a successful supported response and valid embed information before the item can become eligible for Jukestr Watch.
  4. The client renders the platform-supported embed. Restricted media is not downloaded, proxied, or rehosted by Jukestr.
  5. If the Reel is removed, private, unavailable, invalid, or non-embeddable, it is not eligible and is omitted or removed from the experience.

How to verify

  1. Open the public test Reel using the permalink above.
  2. Confirm that the permalink resolves to public Instagram content.
  3. Use the same permalink in the review flow described in the Meta submission.
  4. Confirm that only a supported embed is displayed and that Jukestr does not serve a copied video file.
